Relevant Experience/ Characteristics:

  1. Experience as a contractor in the Intelligence Community; preferably “side-by-side” work with staff personnel (non personal services).
  2. Technical expertise and hands on experience as a database administrator of Oracle databases (11g minimum required, 12c preferred) in all phases of the development lifecycle (DEV, TEST, PROD).
  3. Ability to demonstrate the proper techniques used for database backup and restoration, managing database performance and performing typical security lockdown procedures.
  4. Familiarity with ATO/ Security accreditation processing and strategic security policy implementation to include data labelling.
  5. Deep experience in ETL, process mapping, and data transformation to achieve larger programmatic data management goals.
  6. Experience or training with variety of Oracle technologies including the applicability and usage of these technologies by customers.
  7. Passion for technology, curiosity, and willingness to learn new skills, work with new tools and discover new and innovative approaches to solving complex technical challenges.
  8. The ability to articulate technical concepts to non-technical audiences and, vice versa, translate functional needs to technical solutions.

Required

  1. Experience as Oracle DBA with Oracle RDBMS (prefer Oracle 11g – 12c). This includes experience in implementing new Oracle database architectures, database security, and O&M (daily operations, performance tuning and monitoring).
  2. One or more programming languages (Shell scripting, PL SQL)
  3. Linux or Solaris experience
  4. ETL experience using tools such as Oracle Data Integrator, Informatica.
  5. U.S. Citizenship with an active TS/SCI and Full Scope
  6. 6-8 years of technical experience relevant to this position
  7. Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience preferred
  8. Ability to communicate effectively and build rapport with team members and clients
  9. Ability to travel as needed
  10. Highly Desired
  11. Experience with Big Data/Hadoop environment.
  12. Experience with one or more application servers (WebLogic, Tomcat, JBoss).
  13. Experience with Oracle security products and implementation (Firewall, Database Vault, Audit Vault, Oracle
  14. Label Security).
  15. Experience with implementing RAC.

Experience in migrating systems to AWS Cloud environment.
